Hiking, trail, sky-running on the Eastern Majella
The property is situated in the heart of the Majella National Park, at an altitude of 1,540 meters and 1h 40m walk from the village of Lama dei Peligni (Chieti), on a rocky step in open, sunny position.
The Grotte del Cavallone who are just 20 minutes' walk, the chamois of Abruzzo that can not be easily approached, but they are always present along the ridges that stand out against the blue sky, nature trails leading to Monte Amaro and the world of the average odds with extensive meadows and very scenic peaks, are just some of the unique features of one of the most beautiful mountains of the Apennines.
The Refuge, completely renovated, while retaining a rustic style, is modern and comfortable with 13 plus 5 additional cots beds for a total 18 seats, a gas cooker, a bathroom, electricity and heating with a wood stove . Also provided is water all year round, thanks to the source from which the lodge is named. The nice and quiet atmosphere make it an ideal place for a varied and interesting holiday made for walking, hiking, trail-running and sky.
From this year the refuge of users will benefit from a discount of 50% of the cave and the cable car.
